"Smaller parties shouldn't be prioritized": Sudip Bandyopadhyay hits at TMC
Amidst the severely deteriorating air quality across the National Capital Territory, Delhi's Environment Minister, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, issued a public apology to the citizens. Acknowledging the current pollution crisis, the minister assured the people of Delhi that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is actively working hard and remains committed to finding a lasting solution to the severe air pollution issue that plagues the region every year.
Minister Sirsa provided context for the current situation by comparing air quality data. He claimed that for nearly eight months this year, Delhi's air quality was notably better than during the same period in the previous year. While he conceded that pollution levels have worsened recently, he maintained that the overall situation is still an improvement compared to the same time last year, attributing this positive shift to the sustained and dedicated efforts of the present government since it took office.
However, the Delhi Minister also sought to manage public expectations regarding the speed of change. He emphasized the complex nature of the problem, stating that it is realistically not possible for any government to completely eradicate pollution in just ten months. The statement suggests that while the government is taking measures, a complete resolution will require more time and continued effort to tackle the deep-rooted environmental challenges facing the city.
